Estimated Off Blocks Time (EOBT)

The Estimated Off Blocks Time (EOBT) is the estimated time at which the aircraft will commence movement associated with departure. This must be entered as a four-figure UTC time for every flight stage when submitting a flight notification.

Key Points

  • •Entered alongside the date of flight (DOF) in the flight plan.
  • •Cannot be accepted more than 120 hours (five days) in advance of the notification.
  • •Changes of more than 30 minutes to a submitted EOBT must be advised to ATS or through NAIPS.

Exam Relevance

EOBT is a mandatory field in flight notification forms and is critical for activating search and rescue timers.
