Prohibited Area

A prohibited area is an area of airspace within which flight by civil aircraft is not permitted at any time. Prohibited areas are established under the Airspace Act 2007 for reasons of national security or defence. They are depicted on aeronautical charts and listed in ERSA and the AIP.
